Generally, Academic Support Units (ASU) do not generate sufficient revenue to cover the cost of their operations.
Some revenue is allocated directly to ASUs where applicable. Examples include:
- Tuition Set Aside offsets the cost of the Registrar’s Office and the Graduate Studies Office
- Co-op Fees offset costs of administering the co-op program
- Student Services Fees offset costs of several ASUs, including Athletics, CCA, Counselling, and others
The remainder of the ASU costs are charged to the Faculties based on cost drivers.
