"Waterloo Orientation"

You’re ready. You’re about to join a community of current students, alumni, professors, and staff and we have a week of activities and events planned to help you feel right at home.

  • September 1-3: International students are invited to get settled and learn about life in Canada at International Orientation

  • September 1-4: Orientation will begin on your campus residence move-in day

  • September 4: Orientation will begin if you are living off-campus

  • September 2, 3 or 4: After your family drops you off at your residence, they can attend Parent & Supporter Orientation in the Village 1 (V1) Great Hall

  • Waterloo Orientation is a dry event
  • Public Health restrictions related to COVID-19 in the Region of Waterloo continue to change; incoming students can expect to learn more over the summer about campus health and safety and what to expect for Orientation

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with your new classmates

  • Explore the unique traditions of Waterloo and your faculty

  • Learn what it means to be a Waterloo Warrior

  • Get to know the services, resources and opportunities Waterloo offers you as a new student
