"Waterloo Orientation"

You’re ready. You’re about to join a community of current students, alumni, professors, and staff and we have a week of activities and events planned to help you feel right at home.

  • September 1-3: International students are invited to get settled and learn about life in Canada at International Orientation

  • September 2-4: Orientation will begin on your campus residence move-in day

  • September 4: Orientation will begin if you are living off-campus

  • September 2, 3 or 4: After your family drops you off at your residence, they can attend Parent & Supporter Orientation

  • Waterloo Orientation is a dry event
  • Public Health restrictions related to COVID-19 in the Region of Waterloo continue to change; incoming students can expect to learn more over the summer about campus health and safety and what to expect for Orientation

You will be able to confirm your registration in July.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with your new classmates

  • Explore the unique traditions of Waterloo and your faculty

  • Learn what it means to be a Waterloo Warrior

  • Get to know the services, resources and opportunities Waterloo offers you as a new student

Orientation fee information
