Social Activities: CPH Courtyard (3:00-4:30pm; Faculty Hall if inclement weather)

Cost: Free, registration required for lunch and treat

About the Event

Kick off Fall 2026 with a discussion panel and roundtable networking with Wealthsimple + a fun, welcoming drop-in event with social activities and a chance to connect with other women and gender-diverse students in engineering!

Lunch will be provided for students registered for the panel, with treats provided for students registered for the social portion. Waitlist and walk-ins welcome while supplies last.

Wealthsimple is looking to hire winter 2027 interns; come get connected!

Event Schedule

1:00-3:00pm: Wealthsimple panel, networking, and lunch in Faculty Hall – PSE 7303.

3:00-4:30pm: Social activities and treats at CPH Green. In case of inclement weather, the social portion will take place in Faculty Hall.

Meet the Attendees:

Mojan Benham  

Mojan is a 2017 graduate from the engineering program at uWaterloo, working in tech for a majority of her career from Meta, Shopify, and present-day at Wealthsimple. While at Shopify, she completed her MSc in computational math from the University of Washington, and is currently the senior manager of data science for the banking department at Wealthsimple. Mojan is also a new mom, and enjoys long distance running in her spare time.  

Hannah Yeates 

Hannah graduated from Management Engineering at uWaterloo in 2017, and has spent the majority of her career working in the financial technology  space. Hannah has experience in product development, data engineering, and security engineering. Presently, Hannah is a Staff Engineer at Wealthsimple on the security team focused on client identity and access management. Outside of work, Hannah lives in Kitchener with her husband and two young children. She also loves to knit, crochet, sew, spin, and do embroidery in her spare time.  

Flora Zhang 

Flora is a 2016 Waterloo Math graduate, with experience in public accounting, software analytics, product management, and data science. Having spent the majority of her career in financial services and tech, she is currently the senior manager of data science for the fraud department at Wealthsimple. Outside of work, Flora loves travelling and learning new things, the latest being cooking and horse riding. 

Masha Kuznetsova  

Masha is a Senior Software Developer at Wealthsimple, where she builds platform systems that improve reliability and help teams understand and improve the engineering health of their domains. She enjoys helping engineers navigate growth, feedback, and career decisions, and believes engineering careers are less like ladders and more like choose-your-own-adventure books, with plenty of perfectly respectable wrong turns along the way.
