Women in Engineering (WiE) welcomes all new female students and faculty to the Waterloo Engineering on Saturday, September 13, 2014.

Please join us for food, games, fun activities, plus meet and mingle with your peers and current faculty, graduate and undergraduate students. 

This workshop is designed to help engineering graduate students to develop networking skills essential for career development. It will contain an interactive session as well as information session.

The keynote speaker is Christine Kampen Robinson, Graduate Career Advisor, Centre for Career Action , University of Waterloo.

Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by March 12, 2015.

Join the ‘UW Women in Engineering’ Run for the Cure team!

The Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education and health promotion initiatives. This year’s event takes place on Sunday, October 4, 2014. 

The Women in Engineering (WiE) committee is organizing an end-of-term get together for female faculty, graduate students, and technical staff on Monday, December 7^th, at 4:00-6:00 pm. 

Come join us for lunch and learn more about going on parental leave, whether you are a graduate student or faculty member. A group of knowledgeable panel members will be there to answer any questions!

Women of Impact is a celebration of women’s achievements in science and engineering. Based on in-person interviews, this collection profiles eighteen women who have made significant contributions to the fields of materials, metallurgy, and mining in Canada. Their compelling stories and impressive achievements reveal how women have defied stereotypes, pushed through barriers, and passionately engaged with their industry.
