At drop-in and pre-booked appointments, you can meet with a friendly and experienced peer tutor to talk about understanding your assignment , organizing your thoughts and ideas, communicating your ideas clearly, incorporating your research and citing sources, getting and staying motivated, and whatever else you need help with for your writing or communication assignments in any faculty!

Drop-ins hours in the SLC
We hold drop-in hours at our Undergraduate Writing Café every Wednesday, 2:15-4:15, until Dec 4. SLC 3221. Come for the coffee and writing support and stay and write in our bright, sunny space!
Drop-in appointments via The Write Spot
The Write Spot is open 8:30-4:30, Monday to Friday. Drop-ins in The Write Spot are possible when appointments have not yet been booked. If you have already booked your maximum 100 minutes of appointments in a week, if there are unbooked appointments on the WCOnline schedule, and if you would like additional tutoring time, still come and see us in The Write Spot. We can book you in to open in-person and online appointments within five minutes of the start time. Priority will go to students who have not yet booked appointments that week.
What should I bring?
Come prepared with a current draft of your assignment or any rough notes or brainstorming, and any assignment instructions. Please note that our tutors guide you to see your work as readers would. They can teach you skills and strategies for revising and editing your own work, but they will not correct or change your work for you.
