Research: Server Acquisition

Researchers sometimes have a need for their own server or servers to perform tasks specific to their research.  Often, these servers will also be accessed and used by collaborators outside UW.

Consultation with researcher to determine hardware and software requirements.  Once requirements have been determined through consultation, AHS Computing will place the order for the server or servers.  When the server or servers arrive on campus, AHS Computing will install in our server room, set them up with an OS, security, any required software, join them to AD, etc.
