AI seminar: Rhetorical figures and natural language processing

Rhetorical figures in text contain a wealth of information that has largely been left untapped in natural language processing (NLP). We examine how rhetorical figures can be used to complement current practices in NLP, how NLP can in return be used to corroborate and augment existing knowledge about rhetorical figures, and what steps are necessary to close the gap between NLP and the study of rhetorical figures.
