Coming soon: Arts AI Studio
Located in East Campus Hall, the Arts AI Studio (AAIS) is a collaborative teaching, research, and design space that provides support for AI-focused projects for the Faculty of Arts community and their collaborators. The AAIS serves as the headquarters for the Arts AI Postdoctoral Scholar and Arts AI Graduate Research Assistants who conduct research in the space, offer workshops, and host guest lectures and instructional sessions for students, faculty, and institutional partners.
Arts AI Postdoctoral Scholar
The Arts AI Postdoctoral Scholar has two main responsibilities. First, curriculum co-building: they consult on the development of a new AI curriculum for Arts students with the goal of studying its implementation and impact.
Second, research design and analysis: working with faculty from the Arts AI Committee and other stakeholders, they are co-developing a research program to document the Arts AI curriculum and study its impact on students. The postdoc is also responsible for delivering guest lectures in courses where appropriate and coordinating the delivery of Arts AI workshops with partners in the new Arts AI Studio, which serves as a space for AI workshops and experimentation opportunities for students and faculty.

Arts AI Graduate Student Fellows
The Arts AI Graduate Student Fellows work alongside the Arts AI Postdoctoral Scholar to study and support new AI curriculum in Arts. The RA’s assist in the design and execution of pedagogical research projects, in addition to providing technical support as needed in new Arts AI courses being offered. These students also offer workshops using Generative AI platforms and assist with the coordination of guest speakers and other events.
