Arts AI stays true to the values of the Faculty while advancing knowledge through excellence in teaching, research, and creativity across the humanities, social sciences, and creative arts. This is reflected in the Faculty of Arts Statement on Generative AI and in UWaterloo's Principles of Generative AI. Guidelines for use of AI in classwork and research varies by discipline or program and by instructor. Beyond these guidelines, students are responsible for following the AI policies for classwork and research provided by individual schools, disciplines/programs, and instructors.
