
The VP Finance is responsible for all budgets, financial records, financial status reports, and other and all financial matters pertaining to ASU and its sub-societies.
Arya Razmjoo is a 4A student in Communication and Legal Studies at the University of Waterloo. With extensive experience in student governance, Arya currently serves as Vice-President Finance and brings a strong focus on accountability, sustainability, and transparency in student leadership.
Previously, Arya served as Vice-President of the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association (WUSA) and as Vice-President Finance of the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA), where he worked on large-scale budgeting, advocacy funding, and long-term financial planning across institutions. In addition, Arya is an elected Undergraduate Student Senator at the University of Waterloo, contributing to university-level decision-making and governance.
Outside of formal roles, Arya is passionate about building systems that work for students, asking hard questions, and ensuring student resources are used responsibly and effectively. He enjoys engaging with students across campus and is always interested in conversations about policy, governance, and improving the student experience.
