Our work titled "Big Data Analytics for User Association Characterization in Large-Scale WiFi System" by Feng Lyu, Ju Ren, Nan Cheng, Peng Yang, Minglu Li, Yaoxue Zhang, and Xuemin (Sherman) Shen was honored with a Best Paper award at the IEEE ICC'19, Shanghai, China, May 20-24, 2019. Congratulations!

Prof. Shen attended the 110th Founding Anniversary Celebration of Dalian Maritime University on June 08, 2019, and delivered a speech to extend the heartfelt congratulations to the alma mater and the sincere gratitude to the hard-working teachers on behalf of more than 200,000 alumni all over the world.

Prof. Shen and our former BBCR members attended the Smart Computing and Smart Grid forum at Shanghai University of Electric Power, Shanghai, China, May 17, 2019.

Prof. Shen visited Shanghai Jiaotong University and delivered a research seminar, titled "Space-Air-Ground Integrated Vehicular Networks", at Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China, on May 20, 2019.

Prof. Shen and BBCR members attended 2019 Control and System Security Scientists Joint Studio Annual Conference at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, on May 18-19, 2019.

Canada’s 2019 Top Natural Sciences and Engineering Researchers Awards Celebration was held on May 6, 2019. Our BBCR Alumni, Prof. Lin Cai, received the NSERC E.W.R. Steacie Fellowships, which are awarded annually to 6 outstanding and highly promising scientists and engineers who are faculty members of Canadian universities. Prof. Lin Cai received her MASc and Ph.D at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo, and now is a full professor at the Department of  Electrical and Computer Engineering, Victoria University.

Prof. Shen has been selected by IEEE Canada as the 2019 recipient of the IEEE Canada R.A. Fessenden Silver Medal Award. The Medal is awarded to outstanding Canadian engineers recognized for their important contributions to the field of telecommunications engineering. Congratulations! News

Prof. Zhisheng Niu, from Tsinghua University, China, visited BBCR group and delivered a research seminar titled "Mobility-enhanced Edge Intelligence for Ultra-reliable and Low-latency Communications (MEET-U)" on Feb. 07, 2019. 

Prof. Shen and our former BBCR members visited Xidian University and attended 2018 International Workshop on Advanced Intelligence and Self-Organized Networks at Xi’an, China, Oct.
