Dr. Yujie Tang and Dr. Jianbing Ni will join the Faculty of Computer Science, Algoma University, and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Queen's University, as tenure-track assistant professors, since July 1st, 2019, respectively.

Canada’s 2019 Top Natural Sciences and Engineering Researchers Awards Celebration was held on May 6, 2019. Our BBCR Alumni, Prof. Lin Cai, received the NSERC E.W.R. Steacie Fellowships, which are awarded annually to 6 outstanding and highly promising scientists and engineers who are faculty members of Canadian universities. Prof. Lin Cai received her MASc and Ph.D at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo, and now is a full professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Victoria University.
Prof. Shen has been selected by IEEE Canada as the 2019 recipient of the IEEE Canada R.A. Fessenden Silver Medal Award. The Medal is awarded to outstanding Canadian engineers recognized for their important contributions to the field of telecommunications engineering. Congratulations! News
