Prime Consultant: Roles and responsibilities
The Prime Consultant for the UWaterloo Campus Plan plays a key role in developing and executing the university's long-term vision, ensuring it aligns with Waterloo at 100 and Global Futures. They will lead site analysis, stakeholder engagement, and incorporate sustainability, accessibility, Indigenous design concepts, and equity, diversity, and inclusion into the plan. Working closely with the Steering Committee, the consultant will deliver a comprehensive, forward-thinking campus strategy.
Once the Prime Consultant is selected, this will be the place to learn more about the organization that will help UWaterloo execute its vision for the future of our campuses. We recognize that hiring a Prime Consultant may raise questions, especially during financially challenging times. However, investing in expert guidance now ensures that we make informed decisions that will lead to long-term efficiency, cost savings, and a more sustainable campus environment.
The Prime Consultant's specialized expertise will help us prioritize our resources effectively, identify cost-saving opportunities, and strategically shape our campuses to meet the evolving needs of our community. This partnership is a crucial step toward ensuring that every dollar spent today contributes to a stronger, more resilient future for our University.
