Meet the Campus Plan Steering committee
The Steering Committee for the UWaterloo Campus Plan oversees the development of the university’s long-term vision for its physical environment. Its role includes ensuring alignment with strategic goals like Waterloo at 100, Global Futures, and principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability, while actively engaging in decolonization and reconciliation efforts.
The committee works in partnership with Indigenous host community scholars and community members to integrate Indigenous design concepts and knowledge into the campus planning process, ensuring that the campus infrastructure is adaptable for future challenges. It also facilitates broad community engagement, gathering input from students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders to create a campus that meets evolving needs and aspirations while preparing for future growth and innovation.
