Congratulations to the Centre for Advanced Materials Joining members Matthew Daly, Andrew Pequegnat, Ibraheem Khan, and Professor Norman Zhou for winning the "Best Student Paper Competition" at the ASME 2011 Conference (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) on Smart Materials, Adaptive Structures, and Intelligent Systems (SMASIS) hosted from September 18-21, 2011 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Their paper, entitled, "Fabrication of a Novel Monolithic NiTi Based Shape Memory Microgripper via Multiple Memory Material Processing", was selected from over 50 submissions for its outstanding contribution to smart materials research by a panel of academic and industry experts.
