Professor Tillman, expert at law for Materials Technology from the Dortmund University of Technology in Germany will be holding a seminar on "Novel developments and applications of thermal spray for the automotive and tool industry". The seminar will be taking place Friday Nov. 20, 2009 from 9:30-10:30 in CPH 3602.
Professor Tillmann has received many scientific awards, including the Robert L Peaslee Brazing Award, from the American Welding Society, and has had more than 20 years of professional and management experience, prior to becoming Professor, Dean, and Expert at Law at the Dortmund University of Technology. Professor Tillmann’s research topics now include the joining and heat-treating of materials, powder metallurgy, thermal spray and physical vapour deposition (PVD) technologies, and materials development and characterization.
