Innovative multifunctional nanopastes for solar cells, flexible electronics, and low temperature packaging application

Saturday, November 12, 2011

The nano-team in Centre for Advanced Materials Joining led by Professor Norman Zhou and Professor Anming Hu have successfully developed a comprehensive method to synthesize various metallic nanopastes. These nanopastes deposited on transparent polymeric substrates display tunable plasmonic properties, which can be used for improving the energy harvest efficiency of solar photovoltaic devices. The low temperature sintering of these nanopastes can be employed for plastic electronics packaging and high sensitive surface enhanced Raman probes. These works are recently published on serial reputation journals, such as, "ACS Nano (DOI 10.1021/nn203336m) (PDF)", Journal Material Chemistry (21(2011)15981) and Applied Physics Letters (97 (2010) 153117).
