CAMJ Prof. Norman Zhou won the prestigious Comfort A. Adams Lecture Award at the 2024 AWS Annual Meeting. He is likely the second researcher from Canada to receive this highest-ranked national award from AWS.
CAMJ Prof. Adrian Gerlich and PhD student Tetsuya Oyamada also attended the 2024 AWS Annual Meeting.
Prof. Norman Zhou won the Comfort A. Adams Lecture Award. He delivered a 45-minute lecture on "Nanojoining - A New Frontier in Welding and Joining of Materials".
Prof. Adrian Gerlich delivered a presentation entitled “Induction Assisted Friction Welding of Tube and Rod Materials”.
PhD student Tetsuya Oyamada delivered a presentation on "Effects of Laser Offset on Mechanical Properties of Laser Microwelded NiTi and PtIr Alloy Wires".
