Research Projects
Removal of drinking water contaminants using TiO2 nanowire membranes
Projects that are currently underway include:
- Doping of TiO2 nanowires for visible light sensitization
- Improvement of mechanical properties of TiO2 membranes
- Disinfection and fouling studies
- Evaluation of degradation efficiency from various emerging pollutants (pharmaceuticals and personal care products, pesticides, disinfection byproducts)
- Mathematical modeling of membrane filtration processes
