Research Projects

Removal of drinking water contaminants using TiO2 nanowire membranes

Projects that are currently underway include:

  1. Doping of TiO2 nanowires for visible light sensitization
  2. Improvement of mechanical properties of TiO2 membranes
  3. Disinfection and fouling studies
  4. Evaluation of degradation efficiency from various emerging pollutants (pharmaceuticals and personal care products, pesticides, disinfection byproducts)
  5. Mathematical modeling of membrane filtration processes
