Research Interests

  • Highly efficient exploitation and utilization of nonmetallic mineral resources, especially, preparation and characterization of refractories obtained from minerals and industrial solid wastes through carbothermal reduction and nitridation processing
  • Preparation, toughening and fracture mechanism of high-temperature advanced ceramics; Correlation of structure, properties (such as thermal, mechanical, chemical and electrical properties) and applications of materials, and the improvement of specific properties.
  • Nd:YAG laser processing of shape memory alloys. Interest in application of smart materials in the medical field as well as other areas.
