Developing AI-driven digital twin models to monitor weld quality in real time, enabling early defect detection and improving manufacturing reliability.

  • Formability and Performance of Tailor-Welded Blanks:

Investigating deformation behavior, strain evolution, failure mechanisms, and weld-zone characterization of TWBs to enhance formability and structural performance in automotive applications.

  • Hybrid Manufacturing: Welding and Joining Processes for Additive Manufacturing Parts:

Developing hybrid joining techniques to integrate multi-AM components with consistent joint quality and structural integrity.

  • Integrating Machine Learning into Machine Vision for Intelligent Inspection:

Designing non-contact, sensor-based and computer vision inspection systems powered by machine learning to ensure the safety and performance of critical welds in rail and automotive industries.

  • Data-Driven Predictive Maintenance: Machine Learning for Smart Industrial Systems:

Applying machine learning to predict equipment failures in manufacturing and production systems, reducing downtime and optimizing industrial productivity.
