Research Projects

Double-sided arc welding of magnesium alloy sheet

This research examines the weldability of magnesium alloy (AZ31) sheet using the double-sided plasma arc welding process. It is an enabling technology for the increased use of light weight magnesium alloys in highly engineered structural panels for automotive manufacturing.
