Ready to take your skills to new heights?
Join us for an exciting afternoon of Rock Climbing on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4:30–6:00 p.m. at the PAC Climbing Wall!
We welcome climbers of all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned enthusiasts. 
Equipment and instruction will be provided.

Desk decorating contested presented by the UW CSGSA and MathGSA

Desk decorating contest

Spooky season is upon us, and we’re thrilled to announce a Desk Decorating Contest in collaboration with the Math GSA! 🎃

We invite you all to get creative and decorate a desk that you have access to and permission to decorate - this can be your home office or your assigned desk at the university.

Once you're ready, upload a photo of your decorated desk to the submission portal. The submission deadline is October 28, 2024. Be sure to vote for your favourite desk by liking the photo! The voting deadline is October 30, 2024 at 3 p.m.

Winners will be announced at our Grad House social on October 31, 2024 (details to follow). There are exciting prizes up for grabs, so don't miss out!

We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Grad House social hour

Join your fellow CS grad students at the Grad House for drinks, food, and casual conversation! If you're unsure where to find our group, simply ask a Grad House staff member, and they’ll be happy to direct you.

We'll be there from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 25, right after the Q&A info sessions. All CS students are welcome, whether or not you attend the info sessions—come hang out!
