The SAF within the Faculty of Arts was formed in the early 1980s to address the shortage of high quality professionals entering the accounting profession. Developed as a result of years of accounting, finance and education research and through co-operation with various professional associations, the professionally accredited SAF, in conjunction with the Faculties of Arts, Mathematics, and Science, offers undergraduate and graduate accounting and finance programs designed specifically to meet the need for a multi-faceted education to provide students with the right mix of competencies, professionalism, and practical experience they need to be leaders in their chosen careers. The SAF offers:
