University of Waterloo hosts two convocations per year (spring and fall), in the Physical Activities Complex (PAC) on campus. Computing and Financial Management alternates with the Faculty of Arts every other year, graduating with the Faculty of Mathematics in 2018 and with the Faculty of Arts in 2019. 

Need a little break from all the studying? Come to the Midterm Social, featuring ice cream and board games!   

This is open to all CFM students so it's a good way to reconnect while building your ice cream creation or playing board games.

Dragons’ Den is calling on all aspiring entrepreneurs to present their business pitches for a chance to be featured next season on CBC. Beginning in Toronto on February 10, the audition tour will be open to the public, as producers hit the road visiting Canadian cities coast-to-coast in search of the country’s best business ideas in need of a Dragon investment.

Vice-Chancellor Feridun Hamdullahpur presents a special President's Lecture featuring the new Chancellor, Dominic Barton, who will share his insights and reflections on the global economy and on the University of Waterloo's position and opportunities as a leader in global innovation. Mr. Barton, Global Managing Partner Emeritus, McKinsey & Company was recently appointed as the University of Waterloo's eleventh Chancellor.

In the simple models that economists routinely use to think about the labour market there is no such thing as a “good job”: everyone is paid what they are worth, regardless of whom they work for. Common experience and a growing body of evidence from many different countries suggests that in fact different firms often pay higher or lower wages, and that the differentials between firms offering good and bad jobs are wider than ever.
