What is a job fair?
A job fair is an opportunity to network with hundreds of employer representatives fom across the North America who are currently hiring! You can also investigate and research career options and potential selections from diverse sectors. Bring your resume and get ready to present you skills and qualifications in person!
Preparation
Research employers attending the fair:
- visit partners4employment.ca for a list of participating organizations
- Pick up and employer guidebook from the Tatham Centre (TC) in advance
- Set up your profile on P4E Career Fair Plus app to manage employers of interest and plan your day!
- Update your resume and bring copies to the fair
- Prepare questions to ask employers
- Don't forget your student ID!
Presentation
- Dress and conduct yourself professionally
- Exude enthusiasm and self-confidence
- Be focused and ask relevant questions
Getting there
Transportation to and from the fair is FREE and arrives every half hour throughout the day. UWaterloo buses will pick up and drop off on Ring Road outside of the Humanities Theatre!
Grand River Transit service is also available by using route 202. Students with disabilities who require accessible transportation should contact Alice Michaud at amichaud@conestogac.on.ca or call 519-748-5220 ext. 2341 by January 31, 2018.
