Science: Roeland Wiersema (Physics)

Roeland is a PhD candidate from the Netherlands, who will be travelling to Switzerland this summer to collaborate with researchers at ETH Zurich. Roeland’s research focuses on quantum simulation using neural quantum states, under the supervision of Professor Juan Carrasquilla. He hopes to learn more about other computational techniques and make connections with experts in the field. Roeland is excited to work with state-of-the-art variational approaches to problems emerging in condensed matter physics.
