The University of Waterloo Earth Sciences Museum is open for people of all ages to enjoy, for FREE. No matter what your level of learning is, the museum serves to amaze the general public, elementary and high school groups, and university students alike.

Family Day 2026 at the Earth Sciences Museum

Explore the Earth Sciences Museum on Family Day!

Our Dinosaur Pit will be open to explore and a variety of activities will be available to complete with your whole family! Hands-on activities include:

  • The Rock Cycle Game
  • Let's Talk Science
  • The Great Lakes
  • Microplastics
  • I Dig Fossil Fish
  • And More!

Parking in UWaterloo lots will be free on Family Day. We recommend Lot Q. The University of Waterloo Station LRT/Ion stop is also close to the Earth Sciences Museum.
