Ecohydrology Research Group MSc student Ali Reza Shahvaran successfully defended his thesis on Friday, April 5, 2024. Ali Reza’s thesis is titled "Chlorophyll-a Mapping in Oligo-Mesotrophic Waters Using Remote Sensing Imagery: A Case Study of Western Lake Ontario." His research was financially supported by the Global Water Futures program funded by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund. His examination committee included his co-supervisors, Dr. Philippe Van Cappellen and Dr. Homa Kheyrollah Pour (Wilfrid Laurier University) and his advisory committee members, Dr. Tonya DelSontro (Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Waterloo) and Dr. Helen Jarvie (Geography and Environmental Management, University of Waterloo).
