Amir defends his PhD thesis!

Ecohydrology Research Group PhD student Amir Reshadi successfully defended his thesis on June 25, 2026. Amir's thesis is titled "Multi-Scale Modeling of Microplastic Fate and Transport in Urban Runoff: From Catchment-Scale Yield and Retention to a Global Predictive Framework."

Amir was supervised by Dr. Fereidoun Rezanezhad (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecohydrology Research Group) and Dr. Philippe Van Cappellen (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecohydrology Research Group). The committee included Dr. Andrea Brookfield (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences), Roy Brouwer (Economics), Dr. Wayne Parker (Civil and Environmental Engineering), and Dr. Banu Örmeci (Carleton University).
