Della defends her MSc thesis!

Ecohydrology Research Group MSc student Della Zhou successfully defended her thesis on January 12, 2026. Della's thesis is titled "Vegetation and open water carbon greenhouse gas fluxes of urban stormwater ponds". 

Della was supervised by Dr. Fereidoun Rezanezhad (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecohydrology Research Group) and Dr. Philippe Van Cappellen (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecohydrology Research Group). The committee included Dr. Tonya DelSontro (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences) and Dr. Kevin Stevens (Department of Biology and Laurier Institute for Water Science, Wilfrid Laurier University).
