Ecohydrology researchers attend the 3rd Singapore-Nanjing Eco HiTech International Water Environment Management Summit

The 3rd Singapore-Nanjing Eco Hi-Tech International Water Environment Management Summit was held on October 22-23, 2018, in Nanjing China. On Monday, October 22nd, Philippe Van Cappellen gave a plenary lecture entitled "From Integrated Water Management to Adaptive Water Management". Philippe also chaired the "Smart Water Environment Workshop" on Tuesday, October 23rd. The first part of the workshop focused on emerging technologies for the monitoring and remediation of water quality, the second part was dedicated to integrated modeling and management of water systems. The workshop included a presentation by University of Waterloo researcher Dr. Rute Pinto on “Setting Biodiversity Conservation Priorities: The Example of Portugal’s Montado Ecosystem”. The program was concluded by a panel discussion on “Emerging Trends in Smart Water Environment Research and Management” led by Philippe.
