ERG attends Goldschmidt 2024 in Chicago

The 2024 Goldschmidt Conference was held in Chicago on August 18-23, 2024. Goldschmidt is the largest international conference dedicated to geochemistry, organized by the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry. ERG members Fereidoun Rezanezhad and Philippe Van Cappellen, together with colleagues from Belgium, China, and the UK convened the session on “The Cold Region Critical Zone in Transition: Impacts on Soil Biogeochemistry and Water Quality”. Philippe presented the talk entitled “Mollisol Erosion Accelerates Soil Gas Emission from Cold Regions under Agricultural Intensification” in the session. The presentation was co-authored by Kunfu Pi, Chunlan Li, and Yanxin Wang from the China University of Geosciences, Li Zhang from the Natural Resources Survey Institute of Heilongjiang Province & Key Laboratory of Black Soil and Water Resources Research of Heilongjiang Province, and Philippe and Fereidoun from ERG.
