ERG attends Goldschmidt 2026 in Montreal

The 2026 Goldschmidt Conference was held in Montreal from July 12-17, 2026. Goldschmidt is the largest international conference dedicated to geochemistry, organized by the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry.  

Ecohydrology Research Group Convened Sessions this year included:

  • Philippe Van Cappellen and Steph Slowinski, together with colleagues, convened the session"Anthropogenic Impacts on Inland Water Biogeochemistry: Salinization, Climate Change, and Greenhouse Gas Emissions."
  • Fereidoun Rezanezhad, together with colleagues, convened the session "Biogeochemical Impacts of the Cold-Region Critical Zone: From Glaciers and Permafrost to Downstream Ecosystems in a Warming Climate."
  • Rock Bagagnan, together with colleagues, convened the session "Contaminant Dynamics in Groundwater and Freshwater Systems: Hydro-Biogeochemical Perspectives and Insights from Compound-Specific Isotope Analysis."
