ERG Members Attend the 2026 Waterloo Wellington Children’s Groundwater Festival

On May 27 and 28, 2026, ERG members Huong, Keira, Michaela, Olivia, Tia, Wenhong, Xiaochuang, and Xinchang attended the 2026 Waterloo Wellington Children’s Groundwater Festival at Marden Park in Guelph. The festival brought together the expertise of educators, groundwater specialists and members from industries, conservation, governmental and educational organizations to provide children with the opportunity to learn about water and its importance to our lives and communities. Through over 50 hands on activities, children in grades 2-5 were empowered with the knowledge to initiate change within their homes, schools and communities. ERG members ran several of these activities with the support of the Earth Sciences Museum, including the 3D Sandbox (Feel the Flow), Mitigating Microplastics, Motion of the Ocean, Water! For Breakfast?, and Wetlands.
