Fereidoun and Katie attend the Can-Peat annual meeting

The Can-Peat annual meeting and Peatland Science Symposium held jointly with the Peatland Ecology Research Group (PERG) took place February 19-21 in Kananaskis, Alberta. The annual meeting hosted two workshops including building knowledge mobilization plans and co-creating decision support tools with end users. The peatland science symposium featured presentations from students, principal investigators, and industry partners.

ERG member Katie Hettinga attended this meeting and presented a talk on “Addressing seasonal data gaps in peatland carbon cycling: a study of remotely sensed and modeled carbon dioxide fluxes” and won the best presentation award.
