Katie defends her MSc thesis!
Ecohydrology Research Group MSc student Katie Hettinga successfully defended her thesis on September 8, 2025. Katie's thesis is titled "Evaluating remote sensing and modeling approaches for estimating net ecosystem exchange in Canadian peatlands".
Katie was supervised by Dr. Fereidoun Rezanezhad (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecohydrology Research Group) and Dr. Philippe Van Cappellen (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecohydrology Research Group). The committee included Dr. Jenine McCutcheon (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences) and Dr. Maria Strack (Department of Geography and Environmental Management).
