Philippe and Shengde participate in the 5th International Symposium on Surface-Earth System Science (SESS)

Philippe and Shengde participated in the 5th International Symposium on Surface Earth System Science, held by Tianjin University from April 10–13, 2025. The event gathered experts to discuss how human activity is rapidly transforming the Earth’s surface system. It aimed to advance interdisciplinary research to support sustainability and balance human development with environmental resilience.

At the symposium, Philippe and Shengde enjoyed reconnecting with former ERG members, and Philippe delivered a talk entitled “Closing the microplastics pollution cycle - Estimating microplastics loading to the environment".
