What You'll Learn
Writing & Grammar Course
In this course you will review and extend your knowledge of English grammar. You will be able to analyze and create professional and academic writing.
Cultural Studies Course
In this course you will conduct basic university research. You will also participate and analyze communication within Canadian cultural events.
Listening & Reading Course
In this course you will examine styles of listening and non-listening. Students will improve active listening and reading strategies as you increase your second language vocabulary.
Innovation Enrichment Course
In this course you will develop your critical and reflective thinking skills. You will learn how to conduct online research as you participate in university workshops and events.
Presentation Skills Course
In this course you will analyze elements of effective presentations. You will develop presentations through an efficient planning process. You will also learn how to display appropriate body language, intonation, and other elements of effective presentations.
Student Experience
In addition to the courses, students will have the opportunity to participate in optional activities and weekend trips. Optional trips will include an additional cost.
Registered students will receive an events calendar with activities in advance to the program start date.

Course Dates
January GEAR
Participate in our January session of General English at Renison (GEAR): January 10 - February 4, 2022
March GEAR
Participate in our March session of General English at Renison (GEAR): February 28 - March 25, 2022
Our four-week session of the GEAR program includes 25 hours of intensive English language programming per week.
Tuition
The regular cost of tuition for the GEAR program is $1,635 CAD. Use promo code FRIENDS50 when you register to receive a 50% discount on the regular cost of tuition* for the January 2022 session or March 2022 session of GEAR only. When the promo code is used, students will receive a discount of $817.50 CAD on the regular cost of four-week tuition.
