Biosketch

Professor Greg Andres is a faculty member in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Waterloo. His academic interests include critical thinking, probability and decision-making, logic, and business ethics.

Professor Andres teaches philosophy with an emphasis on clear thinking, careful argumentation, and the practical value of philosophical inquiry. His courses encourage students to engage seriously with ideas while remaining attentive to how those ideas connect to everyday reasoning and decision-making. He is committed to creating a supportive classroom environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, and refining their own positions.

Professor Andres has been teaching at the University of Waterloo since 2007.

This seminar is open to the public: all undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, visitors are welcome to attend.
