Nat Bergbusch is a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability. He is an environmental scientist and policy analyst working in the areas of environmental flows, eutrophication, water governance, climate change, sustainability assessment, and environmental justice. Nat’s PhD research focused on the collaborative governance and impact assessment of developments affecting environmental and cultural water, with insight from international, Canadian, and Saskatchewan examples.

His postdoctoral research focuses on sustainable water use and agriculture across Canada, using mixed natural and social science approaches. Nat is part of the Prince Edward Island NSERC Alliance team and the University of Waterloo’s WAMPUM lab. He is advised by Dr. Simon Courtenay, Dr. Bob Gibson and Dr. Kelsey Leonard.
