The Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO) and the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism (EDI-R) are excited to announce the launch of a new intake form designed to enhance support for campus community members. Available through both the SVPRO and EDI-R websites, this form streamlines the process for requesting direct service, consultation, or education, among others.

Cycles, Cramps, and Cravings… Oh My! Nutrition for Menstrual Wellness

A part of the Menstrual Equity Lunch and Learn Series.

Back by popular demand! In this online presentation, Courtney Wilson, MScFN RD (she/her) will dive into all things nutrition, menstruation, and hormones. We will look at how the phases of the menstrual cycle can impact physical symptoms, intake patterns, and nutrient needs and chat about strategies to support these needs. There will be time for a Q&A to ensure all your burning questions are answered!

Empowering Racialized Women and Non-binary Leaders

We are excited to invite you to a special gathering designed to foster support and connections among womxn and non-binary leaders across our community campus. This event is open to all women-identifying and non-binary leaders, who also identify as Indigenous, Black, or racialized and who oversee teams and/or supervise direct reports. 

 This event is an opportunity to come together, share challenges, celebrate wins, and build meaningful connections that will empower us all in our leadership journeys. Let’s create a space where we can learn from each other, uplift one another, and strengthen our collective voice. 

Lunch is provided. Please note that space is limited, so be sure to register early!.

Tangible tips for tailoring facilitation to your specific audience, mindfully creating safer space and increasing participation from a diversity of those attending your meeting or offering, as well as on how to address common challenging behaviours will be provided via a hands-on, supportive workshop experience that encourages you to gain more confidence with the discomfort often associated with being responsible for spaces where unlearning is happening or needs to happen.

Join the office of Equity Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-racism for an afternoon of creativity, conversation, and community. This event is aimed at bringing together staff and faculty from marginalized communities to connect, relax, and build meaningful friendships. 

The Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism are hosting sessions for 2SLGBTQIA+ students, faculty and staff with special attention for those who identify as Two-Spirit, Trans, Non-Binary, and Gender Non-Conforming (2STNBGNC+). These insights will play a vital role in shaping the new Trans & Queer Equity Strategy for our University.
