We would love to experience this joyful event with all members of our community. Please don’t hesitate to attend, everyone is welcome!

I'm a Virgo (TV-14) is an Afrofuturism/Afrosurrealist TV series created by filmmaker Boots Riley (Sorry to Bother You). The show follows Cootie, a 13-foot-tall young Black man living in Oakland, California, who has been raised in protective seclusion by his aunt and uncle. Cootie has known the outside world only through comic books, television, and his guardians’ teaching--until he breaks out of hiding to encounter the strange and beautiful contradictions of contemporary life. In keeping with Afrofuturist traditions, the series offers commentary that is equal parts joyful and incisive, creating a visionary lens through which to view social and political reality and imagine alternative futures.
