As we enter 2025–26, the Office of EDI-R is committed to advancing the work of creating a more inclusive, equitable, and supportive environment for all. Our strategic planning process builds on the progress of past years, while setting the stage for new goals, objectives, and impactful projects that address emerging needs within our community.
This year, our focus will be on establishing and sustaining reliable spaces for marginalized groups, developing innovative programs and services, fostering a healthy and supportive workplace, and demonstrating the long-term sustainability and impact of our work.
In addition to these new initiatives, we look forward to continuing the many projects, initiatives, and community-building efforts that have become essential to our work. These ongoing efforts will remain central to our mission as we continue to engage and support our community in meaningful ways.
As we move forward, the Office of EDI-R remains committed to ensuring that our programs and services are sustainable, impactful, and responsive to the needs of our community. Through continued collaboration and a focus on measurable outcomes, we will build a more inclusive and equitable future for the University of Waterloo, one that benefits everyone on campus.
