Palestinian Storytelling

Join us for an evening of Palestinian storytelling. Four local authors will read from their favorite pieces of Palestinian literature and discuss their own work in relation to these pieces. Engage with the resonance of the written word, the possibilities of storytelling, and the power of literature. Featuring authors Lamees Al Ethari, Jana ElKhatib, Carrie Snyder and Tasneem Jamal. This event is made possible by funding and support from UW Faculty 4 Palestine, The Foundation for Palestinian Studies Fund, The department of English Language and Literature, and The New Quarterly. The Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office - SVPRO - is bringing the What Were You Wearing? Survivor Art Exhibit back to the University of Waterloo, October 30-31. The art exhibit is based on student-survivor descriptions of clothing they were wearing during an experience of sexual violence.
