Food Truck Event Approval

Food truck event approval  policy applies to all members of the University of Waterloo who wish to utilize the services of a Food Truck for any event on University premises.  "Food Trucks” are defined as any mobile self-contained food vendor that does not require connections to University services (e.g. electricity, water). 

Food truck vendors are  not permitted  to independently sell food and beverages to the public on the University of Waterloo campus. This declaration process is to notify campus stakeholders that your department, faculties, or campus associations sponsoring a food truck service for their specific group or association will be sponsoring a food truck to distribute complimentary food and beverages. Completing the form below allows us to communicate your Food Truck event details with departmental stakeholders on campus, i.e., the Safety Office, Custodial Services, Grounds and Parking Services.  Please note that these departments may charge fees for their services for Food Truck events.  

Please give us at least 30 business days to process and review the application. 

Please note: if you require an organized full-service Food Truck event, Catering and Event Services can help organize this event for you, including tables and seating, entertainment, beverage and bar services.
