The MKin offers a state-of-the-art education that combines interdisciplinary coursework with Work-Integrated-Learning (WIL) through a one-term, 420-hour experiential internship in a workplace setting.
You’ll gain invaluable hands-on work experience with experiential practicum opportunities provided by the department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences and their partner organizations where you’ll build professional skills and network to fast-track your career goals. Our kinesiology graduate courses also allow you to explore a wide variety of topics in the field, so that you can align your professional goals and interests.

Considerations for international students before submitting an application
While the Faculty of Health at the University of Waterloo values international students in our graduate programs, we can only accept a small proportion of these students.
Guaranteed funding packages may not be able to cover all tuition and living expenses incurred during a graduate program and students are encouraged to understand more about the cost of completing their graduate program before applying.
Admission requirements
- An honours bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in kinesiology or a related field with at least a 75% average.
- Letter indicating why the student wishes to pursue graduate studies.
