The 2019 Canadian Conference on Global Health (CCGH) is taking place October 17th - 19th in Ottawa, Ontario. Students, researchers, policy makers, and stakeholders are all welcome to attend, and to submit abstracts...
The Geography Program at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) welcomes submissions for the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Western Division of the Canadian Association of Geographers. The theme of the meeting is: Finding our way in the twenties, and why geography matters more than ever. Geographers from all fields of geography and related disciplines are invited to attend.
Throughout 2020, issues related to health equity have been brought to the foreground. While Global Health as a discipline has long been concerned with the social determinants of health and health inequities, it is also criticized for reproducing inequitable relations through neo-colonial practices. Major events of 2020 (including the global COVID-19 pandemic; global anti-racism movements; record wildfire season) present an opportunity to think differently about Global Health and move toward more equitable health futures.
You will be joined by fellow geographers, GIS specialists, environmental scientists, and other leaders for the latest in research and applications in geography, sustainability, and GIScience. The meeting will be held from Wednesday, April 7- Sunday, April 11, 2021, and will feature in-person and virtual aspects with over 6,900 presentations, posters, workshops, and field trips by leading scholars, experts, and researchers.
To be held at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, Scottsdale, Arizona.
