The GSA and the Federation of Students are hosting open student consultation nights to solicit feedback from the student body on the SLC/PAC building expansion project. There will be six sessions throughout May to gather feedback and garner discussion among participants.
May 11th 5:30 pm – SLC Multi-purpose room
This session will include an overview of the current status of the project, its timeline, the building program elements and any miscellaneous items students want to discuss.
May 16th 5:30 pm – SLC Multi-purpose room
This session will be focused on the athletic areas of the project including the fitness studios, the two story fitness centre and the rock climbing/bouldering area
May 17th 5:30 pm – SLC Multi-purpose room
This session will be focused on the event and bookable spaces in the project. There will be small, medium and large multi-purpose rooms that can be booked in addition to a large event space, all of which are open to use by individual students, groups of students or on-campus clubs.
May 18th 5:30 pm – SLC Multi-purpose room
This session will be focused on the multi-faith space planned in the project. The project include the addition of a new multi-faith facility, and students will be asked to provide feedback on their faith based needs for this kind of space.
May 19th 5:30 pm – SLC Multi-purpose room
This last focused session will discuss the expansion to the main SLC dining space, the social lounge spaces throughout the building and the re-vamping of two outdoor courtyard spaces around the building.
May 24th 5:30 pm – SLC Multi-purpose room
This will be a final session to present what we’ve heard from students, how that may shape the project, and open the floor to any other miscellaneous items students wish to discuss.
There will be food provided to attendees at every session.

As of May 25th, no more student input can be received to allow the project to move forward in to the final design stages.
