There is an entire community of faculty and staff in Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) and across six faculties who administer and support graduate studies and postdoctoral affairs at Waterloo.
Please help us keep our records up to date by using the Student Information System (SIS) access management and graduate contact list changes form. This form lets you officially notify GSPA of any changes in your program’s graduate administrative staff or faculty.
Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs
Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) is located on the second floor of Needles Hall and provides institutional leadership and support for admissions, funding, records, policies, professional development, program administration, and postdoctoral affairs.
Associate Deans, Graduate Studies and Faculty Administrative Assistants
Associate Deans, Graduate Studies (ADG) are the primary leaders for graduate studies within a faculty, department or school. Faculty administrative assistants support ADGs with the operations of graduate studies for the unit.
Graduate Officers/Associate Chairs, Graduate Studies
Graduate Officers provide academic leadership for graduate programs within their departments or schools. They oversee graduate studies processes, support students throughout their programs, and help address academic concerns.
Graduate Co-ordinators
Graduate Co-ordinators are often the first point of contact for current and prospective graduate students. They support admissions, registration, funding processes, academic milestones, degree requirements, and questions about program policies and procedures.
Graduate Recruitment Specialists
Graduate Recruitment Specialists help prospective students explore graduate study opportunities and navigate the application process. They can answer questions about programs, admission requirements, recruitment events, and studying at Waterloo.
