About the Award
The family of the late Dr. Allan G. Felstead established an endowment to fund research initiatives in Mennonite Studies. Allan completed a Masters degree in Sociology at the University of Waterloo, writing a thesis on Mennonites under the supervision of Dr. Winfield Fretz in the ’70s.
The award will be administered by the Institute of Anabaptist and Mennonite Studies (IAMS) and given to students who complete a substantial research project in Anabaptist-Mennonite Studies or are involved in research in the Mennonite Archives of Ontario. Size of Award: Several awards of up to $2000
Application deadline: January 15 and May 15
This award supports a student doing research at the Mennonite Archives of Ontario or Milton Good Library, or doing an internship or research on behalf of a faculty member.
